Coming Out Panel and discussion (10/13/2020)

Description: Coming out can be fun, scary, exciting, nuanced, playful, avoided, or necessary.  (For some, the choice is not to disclose, too!)  This panel discussion will highlight many trans+ community member’s stories of coming out. Join in to support, listen, and maybe even gain a technique or two if you are considering disclosing your gender identity to someone in your life. Facilitator: michael munson michael is as an agender, trans-masculine, boot-loving, LatinX/multi-racial, femme.  He embraces many overlapping identities, including being an altruist iconoclast; a passionate worker bee; proud parent of a millennial & a strong, tender partner. Description: Join FORGE for this dynamic, interactive, experiential, and reflective space that encourages attendees to transform feelings about personal or global loss, trauma, or life-hardships into empowered hope.  Attendees – in a structured, safe, creative setting – will use writing (and maybe a little art and movement too) to address topics that impact us all. MKE TDOR: Ground. Speak. Remember. Connect. Be part of marking the Transgender Day of Remembrance. The greater Milwaukee community will be honoring those who have lost their lives due to anti-transgender bias or violence on Friday, November 20, 2020 through a virtual gathering. This is a COMMUNITY event — for the community, of the community, by the community, and with the community. Coloring and Chatting: A Wintery Theme

Join FORGE and friends for a low-key support group to chill, connect with others, chat, and color. Folks will have the opportunity to just BE with each other. What to bring? A cup of hot chocolate or another favorite wintery beverage. A coloring page or book (especially those with a winter theme – snowflakes, holiday symbols, winter sports, festive sparkles, whatever winter means to you) Pens, pencils, markers to color with YOURSELF – however you are feeling, whatever state you are in! Staying Active in the Winter

Join us for an informational conversation with Caleb Weinhardt. Physical activity comes in all forms, and we can all find different ways to incorporate enjoyable movement into our lives! We will talk about strategies for staying active safely in the winter-time, as well as during our current health crisis.  Conversation will explore finding joy in new routines, moving our bodies, incorporating the outdoors into our physical activity, and caring for our physical and mental health. Facilitator:  Caleb Weinhardt Caleb Weinhardt is an undergraduate student at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and studies Psychology. His previous work with FORGE has included leading outdoor activities with the FORGE Outdoors program and organizing volunteers during Milwaukee PrideFest.
