CONNECT events are a scheduled time to connect with trans/non-binary community peers in a gently structured online environment. Each week, the three (3) CONNECT events will spur conversation, reduce isolation, and create new connections.
Most CONNECT events will have an ASL interpreter. Please reach out with any access needs.
Wednesdays @ 4:00 – 5:30pm CT
This time will change from week to week, but will be a pre-advertised structured event that might include watching a video together with discussion, a poetry slam or writing workshop, a “how-to” type of event, or other focused topics that will generally be light-hearted, enriching, and uplifting.
Facilitator: Matthew Lewis (Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin) with support from FORGE Staff
Thursdays @ 6:00 – 7:30pm CT
“Coffee, Tea and WE” provides an open space for people to share about their lives in a gently structured environment. Most weeks will have a topic to help focus discussion, with room for people to share outside of those guides.
Facilitator: michael munson (with support from other FORGE staff)
Fridays @ 4:00 – 5:30pm CT
“Play with Pals” is a fun time to play games with community members. We all need some time to decompress and enjoy some playful fun together.
Facilitator: Matthew Lewis (Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin) with support from FORGE Staff.
