While my work is generally aligned with WPATH, and has been a helpful structure especially for medical care, I also don't believe they should be the final say or gold standard for trans healthcare. Trans individuals are they experts of their own experience, have autonomy to make their own decisions, and mental health standards of care should come from the community it serves.
