FORGE welcomes Anole Halper to our Team

FORGE is pleased to announce the addition of Anole Halper, MSW, MPH to our staff as Creative Content Coordinator, increasing our capacity to educate and engage the public.

Anole (pronouns: they/them/theirs) will fill the newly created position of Creative Content Coordinator. Their responsibilities include innovating FORGE’s approach to social media, creating content for FORGE’s Trans-Survivors blog, and writing and researching for FORGE’s other publications and initiatives.

“I am thrilled to have Anole’s creative, trauma-informed, and radically trans-affirming skills and approach woven through our work.  They are an incredible asset to our team:  smart, caring, and overflowing with sparkling energy,” notes FORGE’s Executive Director, michael munson.  “I’m certain that Anole’s contributions will be deeply felt by all who access our social media and survivor resources.”

Anole said, of their new position: “The trans community faces great disparities in traumatic experiences, health outcomes, and access to care. But I know that my community also holds extraordinary resiliency, creativity, and love. I am grateful to have the opportunity to celebrate and honor that beauty through the power of writing and creative content, with an organization that has a stellar reputation with providers like me.”

Anole holds a dual master’s in social work and public health from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Over the course of their career, they have worked in diverse capacities in support of LGBTQ equity and a world without violence, engaging in crisis response, support group facilitation, training design and delivery, grassroots restorative justice processes, activism, art, research, and writing.
