Author Brice Smith interviewed on 88.9

Milwaukee historian (and FORGE staff member) Dr. Brice Smith has been keeping busy since releasing his first book “Lou Sullivan: Daring to be a Man Among Men” this past March.  The book details Milwaukee native and transgender pioneer Lou Sullivan’s personal life as well the space he helped to carve out for gay trans men during the 1970’s through the 1990’s.  Smith has done several readings and interviews the past few months.  Recently, Dr. Smith sat down with 88.9 Radio Milwaukee’s Nate Imig, to discuss his new book and how Sullivan made a lasting impression on the lives he touched, as well as a profound impact on Smith’s life as well.
