Monthly meeting: Soothing the Soul

April 25, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm CDT

Support Wisconsin

… through words, images, and action.

April 25, 2015’s meeting will be a dynamic, interactive, experiential, and reflective space that encourages and allows participants to transform feelings about personal or global loss, trauma, or life-hardships into empowered hope.  Attendees – in a structured, safe, creative setting – will use writing, art, and movement exercises to address topics that impact us all. Participants will leave with a renewed sense of hope, community, and connection with themselves and with others. All materials provided, but feel free to bring your favorite healing journals and tools. No experience necessary.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This interactive meeting/workshop recognizes that many people are sexual abuse or assault survivors, and most all of us know someone who is a survivor. Content in the meeting will not be focused directly on sexual assault, but will allow people to explore new creative methods to think about issues, process feelings, and use different techniques to think about their own internal power and resilience.
Facilitated by michael munson & Loree Cook-Daniels
