Rock Climbing at Adventure Rock

This week we will be taking our FORGE Outdoors skills indoors at Adventure Rock! Adventure Rock has climbing options for every level of interest/experience, and we will learn some basic climbing skills from Adventure Rock staff. This is a great chance to climb for free and learn a new skill, especially if this is your first time! Please see “additional info” at the end for a very important note, and be sure to RSVP.
Time: 10:00-12:00. Please note that this outing will be earlier than usual because of Adventure Rock availability, but you are welcome to stay longer than 12:00. Please arrive at least ten minutes before 10:00 so that we can check in as a group.
Location: Adventure Rock (2220 N Commerce St, Milwaukee, WI 53212). There is free street parking along Commerce St. We will meet outside of the Adventure Rock main entrance at 9:50 so that we can check in as a group. If you arrive and have difficulty finding the meeting location, call or text Caleb at 414-249-6746.
Transportation: Adventure Rock is accessible from bus route 21, which runs to the stop North & Commerce #1260, directly across from the Adventure Rock entrance. If you have additional transportation questions/needs, please contact me ahead of time at caleb@forge-forward.org.
What to bring: Yourself, comfortable clothing, a water bottle, snacks (optional), and climbing gear if you own it (you can borrow some if you don’t)! Make sure to wear clothing that you can move freely in. Consider bringing alternatives if you are binding in case you find your breathing too restricted. If you do not plan to borrow climbing shoes from Adventure Rock, please wear comfortable athletic shoes.
Additional info: This is SUPER important! Everyone needs to complete a waiver before climbing at Adventure Rock. To save time, please fill out the waiver online before June 16th. You can complete the waiver here: https://adventurerock.com/visitor-agreement/. If you are a minor (under 18), you will need a parent or guardian to sign your waiver. Please remember to have your waiver signed in advance so that everyone is able to climb!
All climbers under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
