Skating at Pettit Ice Center

FORGE Outdoors offers free, inclusive outdoor activities for transgender/non-binary individuals and their friends, family and loved ones in in the Milwaukee area. All are welcome, including families with children!
Join us for a fun and FREE afternoon of ice skating! This time, we’ll be indoors at the world-class Pettit National Ice Center. Come enjoy indoor ice skating and a hot drink, compliments of FORGE!
Pettit National Ice Center, 500 S. 84th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53214. Our group will meet inside the building near the skate rentals. Shelley and Hal will arrive 15 minutes early. We’ll wait near the skate rentals until about 1:15pm and then move near the rink. If you arrive later or if you have trouble finding us, please call Shelley at (414) 902-3576. FORGE will cover the cost of skating. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy hot drinks, also compliments of FORGE! Please feel free to arrive or leave whenever you’d like between 1pm – 4pm.
If you are driving to the Pettit National Ice Center, there is a free parking lot located directly in front of the main entrance to the building, which you will enter from South 84th Street. If you are coming by bus, Routes 67 and 76 have stops near the Pettit. What to bring:
Yourself, warm clothing, hat and gloves, skates (if you have them), warm footwear (if you won’t be skating), and anything else you might need, like water, snacks, or medications/inhalers/epi-pens.
