MKE TDOR 2021

MKE TDOR 2021: Your voice. Our community. Our TDOR. The greater Milwaukee community will be honoring those who have lost their lives due to anti-transgender bias or violence on Friday, November 19, 2021 through a virtual gathering. This is a COMMUNITY event — for the community, of the community, by the community, and with the community. Part of joining together as a community this year and every year, is to hear multiple voices and diverse views. Agenda: Grounding and Centering. Speaking – Your voices. Remembering. Connecting. All content will have ASL interpretation and closed captions. We will gather on Zoom at 7:00pm on Friday November 19, 2021. If you are unable to attend live, the event will be recorded. Thank you for joining us on this path.

The Wisconsin festival season is rapidly approaching, and it all starts with the nation’s largest LGBT festival, Milwaukee’s annual Pridefest. This year’s Pridefest runs from Thursday, June 2nd through Saturday, June 4th, 2022. FORGE is once again a co-sponsor of the Health & Wellness area. The Health & Wellness area was created as a space to increase the visibility of LGBTQ non-profit organizations and programs and to showcase their robustness and viability. The greater Milwaukee community will be honoring those who have lost their lives due to anti-transgender bias or violence on Friday, November 18, 2022. Guest speaker Dee Dee Watters will focus on “This is why we’re here!” Description: We stand and fight in the trenches because we deserve to exist!  We say HER name HIS name THEIR name because we will not be erased!  We honor our siblings that were taken from us far too soon and celebrate all of our existence for we will not be erased!
