Join FORGE and Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, Inclusion Health Clinic for uplifting and supportive social connection.  Groups will meet three times each week with a different focus for each session. PACT NOW: ASK the doctor

Join FORGE and Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, Inclusion Health Clinic bi-weekly "ASK the…" events.  Physicians, nurses, social workers, advocates, counselors and others will hold space to share information and, most importantly, ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS! This meeting's focus: COVID-19 Basics for Trans /Non-binary Communities. This session will focus on understanding symptoms, transmission, and avoidance of COVID-19.   Presenter:  Andy Petroll, MD, MS. Dr. Petroll is an Associate Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin.  He is an Infectious Disease specialist and also serves as the Medical Director of the Froedtert & MCW Inclusion Health Clinic, an outpatient clinic designed to provide affirming and excellent care to the LGBTQ community.

This meeting will focus on social service support resources for trans/non-binary communities during COVID-19. Are you wondering how to get the resources you need? The federal impact payment; unemployment benefits; rental assistance, basic necessities; social connection and support… Bring your questions or ask in advance.

[ASK the Physician] No need to wait: Hormones as essential medical care

Some people are experiencing lags in their trans-related medical care during COVID-19. Nearly all medical appointments are happening by telehealth, with routine lab tests being deferred until the health crisis has calmed down. However, some trans and non-binary people are being denied refills to their hormones or not being able to connect with their health care provider to maintain their medical care. During this ASK the Expert, Joanna Woodbury and Dr. Jessica Francis will share information on how to have continuity of care (including hormones), as well as some harm reduction strategies to insure your best health during these tough times. Speakers Dr. Jessica Francis Dr. Jessica Francis is an assistant professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
